Over $1000 Raised by 21 Generous Donors in Three Days!

Newsletter 18 November 2019
Hello Visitor,

Thank you to everyone for their wonderful support once again this term. Our Monday, Tuesday and Saturday lessons have come to an end for the term as school closes next week.

We are a few days into our exciting Global Giving campaign and there are less than two weeks to go until the annual Holiday Buddy Reader, Art and Sport Programme starts at Diepsloot Combined School.

Fundraising through the Global Giving
online platform kicked off on Monday 11 June.

Since then $1083 has been donated by 21 generous donors.

We are so appreciative of our donors. Thank you all! You are changing the lives of children in Diepsloot and making it possible for them to learn to read, write and spell.
Between now and 29 June we have an audacious goal to raise $5000 through 40 unique donors. If we achieve that goal, Edu Fun will become a permanent partner of Global Giving. Donations through Global Giving are quick, easy and secure to make with a credit card from anywhere in the world. And, we are excited to share, that donations through Global Giving are tax deductible in the UK and USA.

If you'd like to donate, please visit our Edu Fun donation page.

Holiday Sport, Art and Buddy Reader Programme
26 - 28 June 2018

Edu Fun, in Partnership with Read For Africa and St Peter's School will run the annual Holiday Programme at Diepsloot Combined School (DCS) from 8:30am to 1pm daily on Tuesday 26 June, Wednesday 27 June and Thursday 28 June 2018.

The programme aims to help DCS learners in grades 2 and 3 who are struggling with English literacy. By providing personalized support, we can make a tremendous impact on the students.

If you would like volunteer at the programme we will meet daily at 8:30 a.m. at Piatto's in Dainfern Valley to carpool to the school. Volunteers who cannot commit to all three days are welcome to come for one or two days. Volunteers are welcome to bring their teenage children, friends, partners and others who would like to assist.

All volunteers must pre-register via our Facebook page. If you are able to help, please click this link and let us know which days you will volunteer. https://www.facebook.com/events/2002368126480914/

We are also seeking cash donations. The cost to attend the programme equates to ZAR300 (approx. $22) per learner which can also be paid via the Global Giving Link. www.globalgiving.org/projects/teaching-africa-to-read

We appreciate any support you may wish to offer.
